Find out about some of the work I am doing:
Research
Most of my research revolves around the topics of Supply Chain Strategy and Supply Chain Financing. In addition, to my academic research, I have done corporate-sponsored research. One example is the Rutgers Business School Purchasing Practices Index. I can work with your team members directly or connect you within my network of research colleagues.
Consulting
I am happy to discuss your challenges across your supply chain. I am on the advisory board for Ynvisible Interactive Inc. My expertise lies in Supply Chain Strategy, Supply Chain Financing and Online Education. Contact me below if you would like to discuss your organizational needs.
Teaching
I have taught for over fifteen years in all aspects of Supply Chain Management and across all levels. A few years ago, I developed the Coursera Supply Chain Management specialization, which was followed by the MasterTrack Certificate. I am also the lead course developer at the LCMC. If your organization has SCM educational needs, I am happy to discuss options with you.
Thought Leadership
I am open to helping you with your speaker needs or providing you with information for your article. In the past, I have provided quotes for publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN Business, MSNBC, AP, USA Today, and NPR Marketplace. You can also find short presentations on my lectures page.
My Bio:
I am a tenured associate professor in the department of Supply Chain Management, the Director of the Master of Supply Chain Management Program and the Faculty Coordinator of the Online and Distance Learning Initiative at Rutgers Business School.
In addition, I developed the Supply Chain Management specialization on Coursera. This is an introduction to Supply Chain Management that can be completed on your own time. There is a follow-up certificate program, called the Supply Chain Excellence MasterTrack that carries University credit if you are accepted into our program.
My primary research focuses on the end-to-end supply chain and the integration of its three primary flows: product, information and financial. Specifically, in the new field of Supply Chain Finance, I have recently been active in developing relevant insights for academic and practitioner audiences.
A second research interest is customer service, especially the integration of marketing and logistics aspects and their impact on customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
A third research interest is in the sustainable supply chain, which is resilient in terms of disruptions, efficient in all aspects of the triple bottom line, and integrates businesses as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations.
I received my Ph.D. in Logistics and a minor in Marketing from The Ohio State University. A list of my published work can be found on my publications page. I co-developed that Rutgers Business School Payment Practices Index. I have been a frequent speaker at academic as well as practitioner conferences.
My teaching interests at the undergraduate, graduate and executive education levels include Demand Management, Supply Chain Strategies, Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management.
